Hardtails again but we two only have hardtail bikes today. There are much snow left unexpectedly. Snow makes scenery very beautiful but I forgot to bring my iPhone to take some photos unfortunately.
Today we got together 7 riders with all hardtail bikes.
We are all the time enthusiastic about the-most-advanced-all-mountain bikes, such as Yeti SB66, Intense Tracer 2, Morewood Sukuma, Devinci Dixon. On the other hand, hardtail bikes are simple and made us go back basic. I thought such a day which everyone ride a hardtail bike would come someday but the day came earlier.
The fork that is for Unauthorized 45 rpm arrived. Regarding the description of the auction, it was four-time used but actually it seems to be used to hard at four times... I removed the lower legs and put proper oil for the lower leg lubrication.
I went to Nebiso today.
Morning temperature is 4 degree Celsius and it is likely to warm beyond 10℃ during the day. Snow melt but some places are still frozen.
I want to bring back the Unauthorized 45 rpm to life. Now let's get started for operations for removing rusts. Not only are rusts are found on the chain stay and the bottom bracket, but found on spots that are rubbed by the cable housings.
I prepared a polishing compound, antirust paint and white-color paint before started.
We went riding on the last part of Mt.Nebiso trails today.
We struggled with snow last weekend so we approached the last part of the trail via another pavement road at this time. But it snowed yesterday. We started on the Icy road...
I will change the blog name to "mtb Shambhala" today. We ride on a mountain bike to explore Shambhala (Shangri-La) every weekend... The name of Shambhala is derived from a book "Kuhaku no 5 mairu" which means blank 5 miles and the challenge to the the world largest canyon 'Tsuampo' in Tibet. Anyway, it is sunny and -3℃, of course we are going to Nebiso trails today.
Today is the first ride of the year. The destination is Mt. Nebiso.
We were worried about snow but didn't have to. With pedalling, we were getting warmer. The starting point was -4℃ and we went up to the peak of 1,100 meters elevation.
